Who: Dominic Frye & Grace Prewett (open to Connor Edwards and Flow Morrison as well!)
What: Hogsmeade shenanigans
When: Afternoon, October 2nd
Where: Three Broomsticks
Rating: SFW
Status: Incomplete

One perk of Hogsmeade weekends were the chance to relax in the Three Broomsticks. Dom didn't think that there was a drink of earth that was better than Butterbeer (unless you included drinks that he technically wasn't old enough to drink). So it had been a time-honoured tradition that him and his mates called into the pub for a drink at some point during the day to enjoy such a beverage. It was usually better once the weather was colder but Dom wouldn't even consider skipping a trip to the bar, despite the weather outside being mild.

As soon as they'd entered, Dom had headed directly for the bathroom. They're all been wandering around for a while after all and a boy had to do what a boy had to do. Upon returning to the bar however, he spotted a very familiar shade of red that instantly caught his attention. Nudging Grace with his hip, Dom grinned at her as he stood beside her. "First round is on me," he said, digging his hand in his pocket and sliding the money over the bar top before the redhead could even think about protesting.

Gratefully accepting the other two glasses, Dom mimicked Grace and took a sip of his own. With a content sigh, he followed her through the crowd before they finally found a free table near the back of the pub. Hopefully Connor and Flow would be able to see them from back here. If not, well, Dom would have no trouble polishing off Connor's butterbeer and he doubted that Grace would mind taking Flow's.

Taking a seat opposite the redhead, Dom grinned. "They're better leave us something," he said determinedly. If they were going to carry on the good name, the current sixth years would need some sort of leg up. "As for how they do it," he continued a moment later, "House elves seem likely. Either that or it's something completely ridiculous like they dug a passageway from the grounds into the cellar here." Really though, that wouldn't have shocked him. If anybody had the capabilities of such a feat, it was the Marauders.

Grace settled into the seat against the wall and pushed her bag down beneath the table, looking around for their other friends before she turned her attention back to Dom.

"Well what's the point of leaving Hogwarts without passing on that sort of information? It won't do them any good and I like to think we've proved ourselves trustworthy of such information."

She took another sip of her drink as she listened to Dom, grinning at his last theory.

"You know, I wouldn't put it past them," she said with a laugh. "The question is, do you tunnel up to Honeydukes or the Three Broomsticks. Or maybe it's a tunnel that connects all three."

Wrapping both of his hands around the glass, Dom stared down at the foam for a moment before bringing the drink to his lips. Savouring the taste, he once again sighed contently before setting it down and licking his top lip. "Trustworthy?" Dom said whilst nodding, "You're telling me! There's nobody else at school who's more entitled than us lot to their secrets."

The more he thought more about how the older boys got their hands on such things as crates of butterbeer, the more he assumed that they had some hidden tunnel somewhere. Really, it was the only thing that made sense. "If I were them I would've tunnelled to everything," Dom said with a grin, "Because, let's be honest, how amazing would it be to end up in a deserted Honeydukes?"

"Exactly," Grace replied with a nod. "We'd guard that sort of secret with our life. And it'd make seventh year a lot more fun. Then we could be the cool ones magically appearing with food and butterbeer."

She too grinned at the thought of such a tunnel granting them direct access to Honeydukes and now that the idea was in her head, she was getting more enthusiastic.

"Mm, one to Honeydukes, one here, we'd eat very well. And it could just go directly up to Gryffindor commons so we'd never be caught by teachers."

Catching onto Grace's enthusiasm, Dom nodded. "Life would be so much easier," he said wistfully, wishing that whatever secrets the older boys were keeping would soon be passed along the chain to them. It was only fair, right? Dom had already proved to them, Sirius especially, how worthy he was to carry the torch for all future Gryffindors. He and his friends were the best around and Dom didn't even think he was biased. It was a solid fact.

But right now, they didn't have that information. The secrets of the Marauders were still that; secrets. As much as Dom wanted to know them, he needed to focus on the now. "We should have another party soon," he said somewhat randomly, "If we throw another one and get James to stick around instead of trying to woo Lily, we can show them just how worthy we are." It sounded like a fool-proof plan to him. Plus it was another excuse for a party.

"What're we talking about?" Flow positively bounced into view, flopping down on the seat next to Dom. "I heard the word party. You better not be planning parties without me, Domino." She grinned, grabbing the nearest Butterbeer, and chugged half of it down in one go. "Fuck, that's better. So. What'd I miss?"

Grace laughed at Flow's sudden arrival, shuffling over to make room.

"A party sounds awesome," she said with a nod. "We're discussing ways to get James and Sirius to share their secrets."
