Being stubborn was as much a part of Leah as anything else about her was. She didn't like to be wrong about things and sometimes, she just didn't want to admit that she was mistaken about something. That was likely the reason that she'd put in so much effort to convince herself that she hated Mikhail. For every thing that frustrated her about him, there was something else that she couldn't help but like. It could have very well been that he was a match that she wouldn't find in anyone else...that she hadn't found in anyone else and perhaps doubted that she'd ever find. It would have made sense, given the way she always managed to get angry when dealing with him or the effort that it had taken to stop thinking about him. His showing up there at the pub and actually hurting a bloke that had been coming onto her just pushed all of what Leah had been thinking about right back up to the surface. And even if anger rushed up as the default, she really couldn't help but think that her reaction only further proved how stubborn she was being about the whole thing.
All of those thoughts were running through her mind as the other guy up and left in order to not get beaten into a pulp. She was actually a little disappointed in herself for actually wasting time on him. But her attention was promptly back on Mikhail. There were other people around, but she could have cared less. It wasn't as if it wasn't more than obvious by that point that something more than hating each other was going on between the two of them. She imagined that her teammates looked completely confused about it, but Leah didn't take the time to look. Her eyes were concentrated on the man who'd literally just walked in and stated that she belonged to him. He was sticking by that, saying that things weren't going to keep going like they were unless she was with him and nobody else. And if she wasn't with just him, then it'd be over for good. It occurred to her right then and there that it wasn't an empty threat. He meant it. As much as some might have expected her to care less...she found herself caring quite a bit about that.
The defiance was still in her eyes, but she could tell that she was just being stubborn about it. Would it really have been that hard to just admit what she'd been thinking about? It might feel like she was admitting to being wrong, but it was the better alternative to him walking away and never coming back. Leah's arms dropped, the defensive stance gone as well as some of the hardness in her eyes. "...I have a problem with you being out for good," she said honestly. The anger was gone from her voice, and it was just characteristic Leah left. She looked down a moment, giving a bit of a chuckle before looking back up at him. "You know, I'm kind of sick of being so fucking stubborn about it...it's getting old."
She took a few steps closer to him. "If you think you can handle me, then I want to be with you and no one else."
