WHERE: A pub
WHEN: Evening
RATING: Um...you never know with these two?
STATUS: Incomplete
There were a few specific things plaguing Leah that evening. Boredom, frustration and craving. A bored Leah Jordan was nothing that you wanted to contend with, but the other two things only made the state worse. For a bit of time now, there was a certain bloke that she hadn't been able to get out of her head. Most girls wouldn't find that to be a problem, especially if they were attracted to the guy in the first place. But having her thoughts drift to Mikhail Renegade on a far too regular basis...it only served to irritate and frustrate Leah to a degree that some might have considered dangerous. In her mind, there was no need to be thinking about him. She hated him, even. You didn't just up and think about men that you hated. And still, his face would come into her mind's eye at incredibly inopportune moments. She'd think about the way his lips curled into that infuriating smirk or the way he'd taunt her and literally provoke her anger. But there would also be appreciative thoughts about his handsome face, or the sinful feel of his toned muscles. And then as her thinking about him continued, there would be rather vivid imaginings about the sex.
You didn't normally have sex with someone when you swore up and down that you despised them with every fiber of your being, but Leah had spent a good amount of very eventful nights with Mikhail. Each one filled to the brim with rough and aggressive sex fueled by anger. And as much as she tried to say that she didn't like it...she did. She liked the sex, even though she hated him. Or, did she really even hate him? It was all just so damn confusing, and thinking about it just irritated her to no end. The frustration was endless, and yet it still wasn't enough to extinguish the craving for him that her body had.
In order to try and get her mind off of it, she'd readily agreed to go out for the night with some of the girls from the team. At the very least, she could drink to the point of forgetting. And maybe if she was lucky, she could find a more red-blooded distraction. So, she dressed in an open-backed t-shirt and a worn in but still sexy pair of jeans. The heels were added as an afterthought. She didn't particularly love wearing heels, but the black sandals were the most comfortable ones she owned, so she figured that they wouldn't hurt. Leah banged back a beer before she left her flat for the pub. Her fellow Harpies were dressed just as sexily, if not more so, than she was. So obviously, they attracted quite a bit of attention when they walked in.
Leah made her way over to the bar, trying to decide if she wanted a Guinness or something harder hitting than that. And that was when she realized that she wasn't sitting there by herself. Her friends were still around, but a bloke had invited himself to take the bar stool next to hers. He was attractive enough, though Leah didn't pay him too much mind before he started talking. He complimented her first, which was pretty standard. And then he offered to buy her a drink. She wasn't about to turn down free liquor, so she got herself a vodka cranberry. With alcohol in her system, she found herself flirting with the guy. He was toe-ing the line between suave and sleazy, but somehow she couldn't seem to care. It was keeping a certain someone out of her head, and that was what mattered.
