Astoria had let her eyes drift closed for a moment, taking the time alone to just catch her breath and give her feet a chance to stop hurting. The shoes really were uncomfortable. She'd give anything to have a good pair of pumps to slip into. Unfortunately, she hadn't thought to bring an second pair of shoes to wear during the reception.
She nearly groaned, however, when Pansy sat down beside her. She swore if she had something negative to say, Astoria was going to rather enjoy dumping her smoldering remains into the Thames. She was more than a little on edge that evening, what with having to stay just out of Montague's reach, make sure Daphne had everything she needed, and watching Emma being treated as though she should be the hired help rather than a guest. All in all, she just didn't have the patience for it.
"Should have had a second set for after the ceremony."
