That, Scotty perked up at. He never got to pick what his foster parents watched, but he was allowed to watch the movies with them. Most of them were classics, still in black and white, but occasionally they would rent some of the newer titles that were bursting with color and vivid scenery. The aesthetics in the newer movies were definitely a lot better than anything that black and white films could ever hope to accomplish. Nevermind the plots or character development; Scotty was always much more entranced by the visuals of a film.
"Do you have the one with the fish?" Scotty asked. His class had watched Finding Nemo one day and he had fallen in love with it. But then he blushed and ducked his head. This was a grown man. Why on earth would he have a movie made for kids? Quickly he amended himself. "Or, um, something else, if you want. They're your movies. I don't mind."
He shouldn't even be having an opinion on what they watched. He was such a rude brat, just like his foster father always claimed.
