Laughing, Caitie shrugged. "I'm not really a morning person, I just like to take every chance I can to be a pain in the butt!" That wasn't exactly true, not really anyway; Caitie was as much of a morning person as a supervision-free eighteen year old could get. She woke up wide awake, whenever she felt like getting up, and whether she was the only one awake or not. She snickered and shrugged. "And I know I'm being really loud when the pillow comes off your head and hits me in the head at top speed."
She nodded vehemently. "I figured it wasn't a question that you were the best," Caitie said seriously. Maddie already knew that Caitie thought she was the best person ever. At least Caitie hoped she did. "Naturally, it means we're meant to be a team." She didn't really think of the strange connotation that could have to it, given the feelings that Maddie knew she harbored. It just didn't register.
To be honest, as long as it was food, Caitie didn't really care what they were eating. As long as it wasn't the porridge-glop stuff they'd served back when she'd lived in the city. But she didn't want to be the odd person out who tried to explain that they did the best they could. "It has been a heck of a long time since we've broken into any of the big places, hasn't it?" she asked. It had been a long time since they'd done anything like that, honestly. "Too long," she added.
Popcorn. "Yeah, but the popcorn they always served back there was bland and icky. They never did anything to it. I used to pretend that it was caramel corn. Or popcorn with a ton of butter on it." She glanced at the big box of bacon flavored popcorn that sat on their table. "We never had anything awesome like that, though," she pointed. "Now I want to make some of that tonight. Maybe we can do a movie night or something? It's icky and rainy out there today, anyway."
Caitie's head perked when Maddie mentioned dying her hair. The last time she hadn't gotten to help out, but this time, she was around and ready to help. "Ooo. That'll look really good! Want me to do it for you?" she asked, already moving in the direction of the huge bag they kept all their dyes in, to gather the orange for her friend.
