“Just like every morning.” She said it fondly, accustomed to Caitie's morning habits after so many months of rooming together. Some mornings she enjoyed it, other mornings she didn't. It usually depended on how much sleep she got and sometimes it depended on what song her friend had chosen as the wake-up tune for the day. “I don't know why the neighbors complain. You're not that loud.”
Bustling into the room, Maddie went over to their little table and set the plate in the middle and the cups on either side. Maybe she should've grabbed more than just donuts, but healthy breakfasts were overrated anyway.
“I know, right? They're always offering to make stuff for people, anyway, so it's kinda rude of them to expect manners when they're the ones offering.” Maddie at least thanked them, in her own vague way.
Maddie shrugged off her jacket and tossed it on her bed. She sat gracelessly down in her designated chair, taking a bite out one of the donuts as soon as she grabbed it. “These are so good. I mean, obviously not as good as what bakeries used to serve, but these are so much better than not having donuts at all.”
