To the brunette, it seemed Leah was out to prove anything that would lend truth to her belief that Micah had cheated her way into the job, including that she hadn't been trained. Obviously this argument wasn't getting them anywhere. "You just keep thinkin' that princess, right along with all your other fuckin' delusions," came her final quip, accompanied by a serious eye roll.
Not all that different from how Micah pictured Leah's interview process had gone, really. Although, she believed Stone's had involved a hell of a lot more eyelash batting and smiling at the boss. The other woman had come across about as scrappy as a golden retriever back then, Micah really couldn't understand how she thought she was a better fit for the job.
Fine with her if Leah didn't want to try and argue about it. Wouldn't have changed her mind one bit anyways. As far as she was concerned, this was clearly all the blondes fault. Should have just left her be to enjoy her damn tequila in peace, none of this would have happened then. Really, if anything, Leah giving up without a fight made Micah feel more validated in blaming her.
An indignant snort was the only response Leah got. Another time she would have tacked on a last quip, a final dig about this entire thing being Leah's fault anyways and maybe next time she shouldn't fucking engage. That time was not now though, since all Micah wanted to do was get off the damn ice and out of her skates.
Maybe to finish the last bit of tequila she had left too.
