Very confusing, especially to an intoxicated brain. That was fine though, Micah ignored it and focused instead on the string of insults that followed it. "That's hilarious coming from you. I've never taken credit for nothin' I didn't deserve." Snarling, "You're not better then me, Stone. You're just a sore fuckin' loser." What a crock. "You're delusional, that's 'bout it."
No, today gravity and Micah hardly seemed to be on speaking terms even.
Micah was irritated that she kept falling, but even more so that Leah kept picking at her every time. Not that it came as any kind of surprise. Of course the other woman would try to goad her into giving up, to admit defeat. But she was just too stubborn and absolutely refused. No matter that, at this point, just giving up would have been a hell of a lot less embarrassing to watch.
Stupid Stone's annoying laugh, like nails on a chalkboard. It grated at her nerves. Glaring up at the tall woman, she slammed her fist against the ice. Though, to be honest, she'd really rather slam them into her foe's smug face.
She didn't wait for Leah to decide whether to offer help this time around or not, she just wanted off the damn ground. Micah struggled, managing to get one foot firmly planted on the ice, before the other went out from under her and she slammed back down. Frustrated, she considered Leah's taunts. Maybe it would be worth it to just say screw it and give up.
Then she looked up at Leah and knew there was no way in hell that was going to happen. Leah Stone already thought she was better then her, there was no way Micah would give her any additional ammo. If anything, that made her more determined to prove she could do this. Gritting her teeth, she fought to get on her feet. Though she flailed her arms a couple times in the process, this time she was successful. Letting out a little whoop and nearly throwing herself back off balance.
Some of her hair had worked itself loose from her ponytail, she pushed it off her face. With a little huff, "I'm not givin' up, Stone. Booze mighta thrown my balance off a little, that's all."
