Noah wasn't looking to be anyone's daddy at this point in time, no, but he wasn't just assuming that was what Vienna was looking for. The world was so different now. Of course, if she was a decent mother, she'd put her child before everything and everyone else, but that still left room for friendship of various definitions. That was a very good thing, he thought.
"Lucky for you I like surprises," Noah joked. Maybe it wasn't entirely a joke; he was usually a person who could roll with anything. It made him wonder about what Vienna's story was. In all honesty, they'd done more flirting and other adult activities than actually talking about their pasts, but the way he looked at it was that there was time. An optimistic view, but they were relatively safe here, so what was wrong with hoping there'd be time left?
"Yeah, I know Bea," he replied to Vienna's question, "well enough that I can imagine what she thinks of Ledger's nickname for her." He desperately wanted to walk up to her now and call her 'Bea-Bea', but he supposed he'd try to restrain himself. Because she might hit him. "Skeletons, huh?" he added. "Maybe next time I'll tell you my dark secrets." Although the only thing that could possibly be considered a secret might be that he liked guys, too, but he didn't see the need to go running around advertising that. He was laid back, sure, but he didn't necessarily believe in full disclosure when it wasn't called for.
"You gonna ask me in?" Noah asked. "Or do I stand here like a door to door salesman?" It'd be silly to go running off since he'd gone to all this trouble to find her.
