When: November 30th, 2019 ; late afternoon
Where: Vienna, Bea and Ledger's room
What: Noah plays detective and gains some intel.
Rating: Medium?
Noah was never one to spurn a challenge, and that seemed to be what Vienna had issued to him when they'd bantered around about him finding her room. It did seem a bit unusual that he didn't even know where she lived, but then he was all right with a lack of convention. They were having some fun, and what was wrong with that? But there was no reason why he couldn't occasionally visit her, too, and that would be easier if he knew where to find her.
As he walked along to begin his quest of knocking on doors, he idly wondered with whom she lived. She must have family here, he thought. That was nice for her, if so. He knew there were several people who had family members at Sing Sing. Noah had moved away from his family just as quickly as he could, because he'd wanted to be independent, start his own life and get away from the wilds of Montana. That didn't mean he didn't love them and miss them, even if he wouldn't let himself think about them very often now. What good would it do? If they were even alive, they might as well be a world away.
When Noah got to the section where families lived, he started knocking, sometimes getting no answer and sometimes having the door opened. He hadn't been lying when he'd told Vienna that he wasn't shy, and it didn't bother him at all to ask who lived in each room. A few people recognized him as being one of the security staff, and he figured they might think he was taking some kind of informal survey or census. He was glad when he wasn't asked why he wanted to know, because it would be ridiculous to say I'm looking for the girl I'm sleeping with. When that happened, he had to manufacture some other reason.
He was beginning to wonder if he'd somehow gotten her clue wrong after a while, because he'd knocked on quite a few doors. Noah didn't give up easily either, though, so he huffed out a quiet sigh and rapped on the next one.
