It was clear that they weren’t going to agree on this anytime soon... or ever. It didn’t matter. They were both entitled to their own opinions. Although it was unfortunate for Zach that all of his sisters could be downright stubborn. It probably didn’t make it easy for him to be the protective older brother.
“Just trust me, okay?” she asked.
She stood and looked down at Zach’s hand on her arm. She lifted her opposite hand and gently put it above Zach’s. As much as she was annoyed with him at the moment he was still her older brother. It was their jobs to annoyingly care about and burden each other with their opinions.
“I’m always careful,” she said as she squeezed his hand. “I’ll see you when I get back.” She thought that would make him feel a little better.
She took one step out of the cell before turning back to Zach, “I love you, stupid.”
