Making a frustrated noise, Zach clenched his jaw to keep from saying something he might regret later. It wasn't often he fought with Charlie, actually he could count on one hand the fights they had had growing up. Apparently he was going to be able to add another one to that list. They were never going to see eye to eye on this, were they?
"Well it's not," he bit out, forcing the anger out of his voice. Wasn't he allowed to be concerned about her without it turning into a lecture? Zach did trust her, but he had also seen things happen in the Army to people who knew what they were doing to know that sometimes not even the knowledge on how to protect yourself could save you from something. "Never said you didn't have your reasons, Charlie." Because they all had their reasons for doing things, didn't they? "Damn it, this isn't a lecture, it's a concerned brother trying to get his sister to see reason." Sometimes he thought the death of Charlie's husband had made her more reckless, almost like his sister was going out looking for trouble.
Zach knew it had been low to bring up Sasha and Gordy, but he didn't regret it. Hadn't they lost enough family members already? "You're not going to see reason, so yeah, I think I have," he muttered, fixing Charlie with a disappointed expression.
"Fine," coming here had been a bad idea, clearly he still had a ways to go before he and Charlie were on good ground again. "I don't get it, but I'm done arguing with you about it. I'll respect your decision, but I'm not ever going to like it."
