If he knew what she was doing then why did he ask? Charlie managed to avoid giving him a look and continued with what she was going. There was no need to give him lip. Not after he had come all the way over here to see her. At least that’s what she hoped he was doing there.

“I don’t need a lecture, Zach,” she said as she put an extra shirt in the bag. “I know what I’m doing.” She didn’t get why they couldn’t understand why she had to go out there. She knew it was only because he cared about her. She wasn’t stupid. She knew what it meant when a non-immune stepped out of the prison. It was scary, not only for her but everyone that cared about her.
She stopped getting ready and turned to Zach. “I know it’s not but it’s what I chose to do,” this was their lives now. She couldn’t hide out just because it wasn’t safe. She had to do something to help.
