Jax did think it was cool that Jess bothered to answer his questions. So many times, people older than him just glossed over things he might ask without even considering that they might be more than rhetorical questions. Adults could be such haters, but occasionally he'd find a cool one in the mix. He snickered when she asked what he'd like to do within the confines of the infirmary. "Well, that takes all the fun out of it," he said. "Are there any cards or anything?"
