"In which case you would think correctly!" Kris nodded his head and looked up over at the other man with an amused smile. "Wait, you're telling me that I could just lie to you and tell you that you went crazy and you'd believe me?" his eyes widened and he turned back toward the screen, pretending to ponder this seriously for a minute. "Clearly I need to rethink this honesty strategy because it would be incredibly amusing to have half the city thinking they were crazy every time they see me toying with old Betsy here."
In his distraction, he'd barely noticed that his character had been attacked by a hoard of infected, and by the time he reacted and tried to recover, he was already respawning. "Shit!" he cursed, sighing and hitting the pause button so that he could continue this conversation.
Ah. There was the inevitable question. Kris quirked a smirk and raised a shoulder in a shrug. "It's magic!" he teased. "I don't like to make this well known but I'm actually here straight from Hogwarts," he said, waving his fingers mystically.
"Nah, just fucking with you. I used this thing," he said, reaching over beside him to drag out his solar charger. "Works like a dream. Keeps all my electronics charged and good to go. Not that it really did me much good for anything other than gaming up until now," he meant the last part as an internal aside, but once Kris started talking, well… stopping him was not an easy task. "That and I'm pretty much a tech genius," he added unabashedly. He was long past denying his strong suits anyway, and tech stuff was certainly one of them.
