woah, ij just went down for me! i was worried for a few minutes :P
Severus gave a slight smile when she touched his hand. "I'm glad." He said, allowing himself to feel a bit of relief. He couldn't believe the luck! He'd been sure she would shoot him down again, this time. He made a mental note to have a bit more faith in himself. He was quite confident about the most important aspects of his personality; his intelligence, his ambition, his work ethic, his loyalty. But when it came to his true disabilities, such as any level of social interaction... well, he knew better than to blindly assume people would forgive him for his blunders simply because they were his friends. He was no Sirius Black. People had never been forgiving toward him, and he didn't expect they would begin any time soon. A handsome face and a fat wallet went a long way, and Severus had neither.
"It's true, they are." He agreed. If there was one thing he knew they believed similarly about, it was Potter and Black. The only problem was so many people dripping honey into Lily's ears about them all the time. He could never be certain that she wasn't the centre of some gargantuan gryffindor brainwashing scheme. He could only hope that she kept her wits about her and didn't let them pull the wool over her eyes when it came to the way those prats behaved.
