WHO: London and the blind boy Z
WHAT: I don't know! I'm bored!
WHEN: Thursday... afternoon.
WHERE: Outside! Quad!
RATING: Um, like, at least PG-13. The girl has a mouth on her.

London was meandering around outside, camera in hand. She was snapping pictures of random younger years running around playing game, as well as random trees that she'd probably taken pictures of plenty of times before. Just, well, sometimes things were still quite pretty even if she'd taken pictures of them before. Granted, she hadn't intended to trip right over Z who was sitting on the ground.

Really. If there was a tripping accident revolving around a blind boy, shouldn't it be the blind one tripping? "Fuck," London muttered, growling a little at the scratched up hands she now possessed. She checked her camera over, seeing nothing worse than the scratch she'd acquired prior to that particular fall. She looked over at Z, whom she'd just fallen onto pretty much, and didn't bother to move her legs off him quite yet.

"How is that I'm the one to fucking trip when you're the one with the shitting visual impairment?"

Z usually did just sit around under the tree, embracing and appreciating Mother Nature. Despite the fact that he couldn’t see any of it, unfortunately, he was able to inhale the fresh scent and feel the grass from under him. He sat back behind the tree comfortably, one leg stretched out while the other was bent upwards, resting his arm on there. His neck was elevated upwards, and while he couldn’t see the skies, he could feel the sun’s rays beating on him.

And all of a sudden, something abruptly interrupted his peace. Someone tripped over him, which was a first, and jerked and the sudden collision with his body and hers, “Whoa there!” his natural instinct was to extend his arms, and felt around until he got hold gently of her upper arms, “You okay there?” It was the first time someone tripped over him. And he would laugh about that if he wasn’t concerned with the girl in front of him.

“No blood, no broken bones I hope?” His voice was light and teasing, and also concerned.

"If I got bloody and broken over a little trip like that shit? I'd be dead by now," London pointed out, with a small shake of her head. "I fall at least a few times a day, Z, and I've survived them all this long." Still, a small grin may have appeared at the fact that he actually sounded CONCERNED. Honestly, it hadn't been that big of a fall. Not that he could've seen any of it, or known how scratched up and all she was... Still. It was enough to cause her to reach over and ruffle the bloke's hair.

"Fuck, I can't believe I tripped over the blind kid, though." She let out an overly dramatic sigh, before glancing over at him. "Isn't it a bit dangerous to grab a girl's arm? What if you get some accidental groping in too?"

He couldn’t help but let a little chuckle out. Z was blind, yes, but he was graceful for a blind kid. And that’s what she called him. The blind kid. Z actually barked a laugh at that. He liked when people teased him about being blind. Well, not liked it, but he preferred it than people taking pity on him and being careful. Much more preferable. Head tilted. Yeah…he didn’t actually think about that. It was just an instinct to shoot his arms out.

His hand rubbed the back of his head, “Huh…well, I haven’t really thought of that.” He flashed her a sheepish smile, “If I did touch something, please feel free to slap me,” he laughed and pointed at his cheek. It almost looked like he wanted her to kiss it, but no, he was ready for a slap just incase. He leaned back against the tree again, “So London, what brings you on this fine day?”

"Oh, I would have slapped you, don't even worry about that. Just because you're blind, doesn't mean you're allowed accidentally groppage," London informed him, laughing. Although, she supposed that would be a pretty good excuse for it. 'But I'm blind! How could I tell that I was touching your boob?!' She leaned back on her hands, glancing around briefly.

"Pictures! It's rather pretty out, a definite shame you're missing out on it. Suppose you've got a totally different view on pretty, though." Or so she'd think, since he'd have to go off of feeling and smell and such... "How the fuck do you decide if a girl's hot, anyway?" Maybe an awkward question, but it had popped into her mind.

He joined the laughter as well. Yeah, he liked this girl. “I’m glad you don’t discriminate.” But yes, being blind had its perks. It was always an excuse that professors and authorities couldn’t question. He wasn’t afraid to use that to his advantage. He let his neck cock back against the bark of the tree, enjoying the sun’s rays again. Yeah, it was a shame he couldn’t see it, but he shrugged his shoulders noncommittally, “Yeah, it sucks. I’m not going to lie.”

But it was what it was. Complaining and bitching about it wasn’t going to do him any good at all. “Just because I can’t visually intake pretty doesn’t mean I don’t know what it is. I just take it in with different ways.” He flashed a little grin at her next question, “I don’t. I just wing it, I guess.” He chuckled a little at that.

"So, scenario!" Because, well, she was actually quite curious. "You meet a girl, decide you really like her, spend the next several hours making out..." She trailed off, briefly, giving him time to picture that image. "You meet up with your best mate, and he tells you the girl you've been kissing is fucking ugly." She paused again, giving him a slightly curious glance that (obviously) he wouldn't see.

"Question being, do you keep seeing the girl?"

He laughed. Seriously, he laughed. “Knowing my best friend, he’d probably say that just to get the girl all to himself.” Julian was the charming one. Kind of. No, not really. And why did he hang out with him? “But anyways…umm…” his lips pursed a little. My, she was rather curious. But that didn’t bother him at all, “I’m not really the type to date actually, to be frank with you. But if she wants to, yeah, I guess I’ll keep making out with her, sure.”

His shoulders shrugged a little, “You’re a little curious, aren’t you?” he chuckled at that.

"Well, CLEARLY, I'm just asking because I'm a total dog and I want to make out with you," she told him, jokingly. Because, well, London in no way thought of herself as a total dog, nor did she have any plans to make out with Z. "Or perhaps I was just curious, as it popped into my head and you were the only blind person I knew to ask."

Because, well, who else was she going to ask? It wasn't like her curiosities could be satisfied by just THINKING about what someone might be thinking if they were blind. "Unfortunately, blind people just aren't everywhere these days. Can't spread my questions around between a bunch of them. You're it, Z."

“You could’ve just asked.” He waggled his brows suggestively at her. But he made it evidently clear that he was joking. When she had said that he was the only blind person she knew, he laughed a little, “Well, I am flattered…I think…” He was basically the only blind person in Idris. He leaned comfortable back against the tree, hands behind his head while he faced the direction her voice was coming from. Despite the fact she probably knew he could see her, he still liked to face the people he was talking to.

He laughed, “Well, feel free to throw your questions to me. I’ll answer with the best of my ability.” He scratched the side of his nose before settling back comfortably behind his head again, “So, is this your first interview with your very first blind guy?”

"So long as you don't consider past conversations interviews, then yes. Yes, it is." Admittedly, she didn't USUALLY act quite so questionnaire like in her conversations. Just, well, after tripping over him, she'd gotten to thinking about what it must be like to be blind. To have even LESS to go off of than she did. It was a little sad she was more of a klutz than him, but perhaps being blind helped... your balance?

"Oh, got one!" London pulled out a small package of M&Ms from her bag. Ripping it open, she took a blue one out. Grabbing Z's hand, she dropped the M&M into it and grinned. "I want to know if you can taste the colors in M&Ms, or if they're just all the same. You probably already know the answer, but... well, I figured you might want one anyway."

It wasn’t uncommon for Z to get these “interviews.” It was usually expected by the younger generations, like five to six year olds. There was one time, a little four year old wanted proof that Z was blind, so he goes up to Z and says, How many fingers am I holding? “Well, I feel special then…I think.” Yes, he was probably going to use that phrase quite often around London. They haven’t talked much, but they were friendly with each other. Bonding time would be nice, considering she probably wouldn’t accuse him of being a water killer. Names shall not be mentioned. *cough*Penelope*cough*

He felt something in his palm. Something very small. “You want to know if I can taste the M&M color?” he asked lightly baffled and cocked a brow, “They all taste the same to me. They use the same chocolate for each one, don’t they?” Shoulders shrugged and popped it into his mouth, shrugging his shoulders, “Uh, I dunno, green?”

Maybe London was finding too much amusement in asking him random questions? Plus, while asking him random questions she got to look at the bloke. And, well, Z was rather attractive. Not that she had any actual interest in him, but it was nice to look sometimes.

Especially when they couldn't tell that you were looking.

"I guess they don't taste any different. I always thought that they SHOULD, though."

Yes, Z could never tell when people were staring. Most of the time. Sometimes there was just that feeling you were being stared at. The tingly feeling you got on the side of your cheek told you that you were being looked at. But that didn’t happen too often. He laughed and nodded his head, “Yeah, one should be dark chocolate, then milk chocolate, then white chocolate, and so on…”

That would be awesome. Different chocolate for different colors? That’ll be awesome. “I’ve got mad skills when it comes to Skittles though. The orange ones are easily distinguishable.” His head nodded at that with a little laugh.

"Strawberry hinted chocolate, too, would be good." And several other flavors that weren't totally chocolate, she would CERTAINLY eat as flavors for M&Ms. A shame they didn't tend to have mixed chocolate-fruit flavors or anything.

"Skittles... Taste the Rainbow." London couldn't help but say the phrase afterward. "I prefer M&Ms, but skittles are pretty good too. Milk duds are best, though."

“Yummy,” he said with a smile, “I want some strawberries now and melted chocolate.” Yeah, he was really in the mood for that. Strawberries dipped in chocolate. Z didn’t usually have a sweet tooth, but hey, strawberries were healthy for you! He laughed when she dramatically said the logo. Sucks, because he can’t see rainbows.

He grimaced a little, “Milk Duds?” he echoed and shrugged his shoulders, “They’re good, but they get stuck on the roof of my mouth. I probably look like an idiot trying to get it out with my tongue.”

"Everybody looks like an idiot when they've got food stuck in their teeth, or the roof of their mouth," London informed him, grinning. It certainly wasn't the blind guy only situation... everyone looked a bit ridiculous picking at their teeth.

"Though, if you want strawberry and chocolate, we could probably check the kitchens."

He laughed, “I’ll take your word on that.” There was a very vague memory of his brother, and something was getting stuck on the top of his mouth and he did actually look like a complete idiot trying to lick it off. Usually it would work for Z. The tongue was the strongest muscle in your body after all.

He cocked a brow, and then pursed his lips thinking about it for a while. And then he smiled, “Sure. All this talk about chocolate is kind of making me hungry.” He stood up and when she was up, he subconsciously let his large arm hook around hers, “Lead the way, m’lady.”

It was a little odd to hook arms with Z, but she wasn't going to complain. It was (somewhat) a necessity. It would certainly make getting to the kitchens much easier, after all, and it wasn't as though Z was unpleasant to touch. "Excellent," London replied, before heading back towards the school. Strawberries dipped in chocolate sounded excellent.

With any luck, the kitchen would be in stock of it. "So, how's the school year going for you so far?" London asked, glancing over at him briefly. "Good grades? Getting lucky? Had any particularly interesting nights so far?"

Sometime he forgot how awkward it would be for students considering that most of them never really led some blind dude to a kitchen. He didn’t hook arms with teachers. No. They just grabbed his arm and haul him into whatever class he was next. Which was why he usually had friends lead him to classes. Trustworthy friends. And he trusted London to get him to the kitchen without ended up in blood and guts. Not like that has ever happened before.

He walked side by side with her, adjusting to her relaxing, slow pace, “Good grades, I guess.” His shoulders shrugged. He usually didn’t like talking about school. Unless it was with Bridget. He cocked a brow at her, “Getting lucky?” he echoed, “with what?”

"... as in fucking?" London replied, she'd been joking when asking, but she'd at least expected him to know what she was asking. It was sort of easy to lead him around, perhaps because he'd had so much experience simply following. There really wasn't much turning the wrong direction or anything, which was rather nice. People with blindfolds on, for instance, seemed to fight it when you led them around.

Yeah. When he was younger, he did tend to not like it when he was forced to have a helper. It was annoying, and it ridded away freedom. He didn’t know where people could take him. They could take him in a dark alleyway for all he knew! Which was why he had a selective people he had chosen to trust to bring him places. With teachers, he just naturally trusted them. When she had clarified it for him, eyes widened. If he was eating something, he probably would have choked on it. “Uh, um…” he stuttered and loosened up his collar a little. Wasn’t she a little straightforward now, “No…I’m a virgin.”

She couldn't help but snicker at the fact that he'd gotten all awkward about it. "Nothing to be awkward about," London commented, reaching over with her free hand to ruffle his hair. That wasn't really something to be ashamed of, after all, especially since London hadn't exactly had sex ever, either.

"It was just a joke, anyhow." One that apparently made him a little on the awkward side. Which was a little bit amusing, in her opinion.

Z was completely awkward when talking about sex. It was an insecurity, which probably would be surprising. The most he has done was make out. With a lot of girls. A lot. And whenever they would push forward, Z would do nothing but deny. With sympathy of course. And it was understandable why sex would be an insecurity. He was fucking blind for crying out loud! He didn’t know what the hell he was doing. He didn’t tell anyone that, however.

He awkwardly laughed a little, “Ah, okay then…” He was glad that the subjected changed. It was laid down at least. “Are you there yet?” he asked as if he was a child.

"Not quite," London replied, with a grin. "Soon, though." It would have sucked to not know how close you were to the kitchens, just like it sucked to have a klutzy girl leading you there. Or, at least, it sucked when she managed to trip over a book someone had left on the ground...

Because, well, when the klutz holding onto your arm fell down, it just so happened that both the girl and the blind boy would fall. Hard. Whoops.

"Shit!" London growled, pissed off to be on the ground twice in such a short period of time. "I'm a shitty guide, sorry, Z."

Before he could retort to anything, he felt his body being pulled down. Being pulled down by a girl with his body structure? Now, that was just pathetic. He let out a quick yelp before falling half on her small frame. He landed with a grunt, and then propped on his elbow so he hovered over London briefly. He shook his head and laughed a little, “Uh, s’okay,” he said in a low, husky voice before rolling off of her and onto the ground next to her.

He laid down for a second, an awkward smile on his face while his elbows propped up and turned his head to face her, “No you’re not…you’re just a tad clumsy,” he chuckled and ran his hand over his head, “Are you okay? Did I crush your bones?”

"A tad? This is the second time I've fallen in thirty fucking minutes!" It really wasn't THAT surprising that she'd pulled him down, though, considering she was a Therian. They had a bit more strength than Mages, etc, did. "Ha, no, you didn't crush my bones. I think I can handle your weight just fine, Z."

Although, it was a bit hard to convince herself she wanted to get back up and lead him the rest of the way to the kitchens. It was appealing to just lie there for a few more seconds, to avoid the next fall that was undoubtedly just around the corner.

"Maybe we'll get lucky, and I won't fall the rest of the way to the kitchens."

“Uh, okay, maybe just a little more clumsy than normal.” He flashed a little grin at her with a huff from his shoulders. He forgot that she was a Therian. Which made the situation just a tad better. It wasn’t like a five year old grabbed hold of his finger and threw him all the way up to the Statue of Liberty. Now that would be very depressing.

Yes, lying down there would be rather nice. Z could be a lazy person. His legs were sprawled out onto the marble floor and laughed, “We? You’re the one that fell down. You just so happened to pull down the poor blind boy with you.” He teased and then felt for his walking stick, grabbed it and stood up.

He hooked his arm again with London’s, “Next time you feel you’re about to fall, try to hold onto something and not crash onto the ground,” he laughed.

"So, next time try to grab onto something other than the blind boy?" London replied, giving a slightly embarrassed laugh. Because, well, it wasn't like she'd INTENDED to fall down. It just so happened that she tended to tumble to the ground quite frequently. Once a day, at the very least.

"We're almost to the kitchens, though," she informed him, starting to walk again and leading him the rest of the way there. Luckily, they arrived without too much trouble and she (gently!) pushed him over to where he'd be standing against a counter. It seemed easier to leave him right there, while she looked around for both strawberries and chocolate.

He laughed, half from her statement and half from her awkward chuckle, “Yeah, exactly.” He just didn’t want to fall on her again. Surprisingly, Z didn’t fall a lot. He was very careful, and when he would run into something, he did have a tendency to be able to catch him self. It was different when the male was younger, but his poised state gradually grew. Thankfully. It would suck if he constantly tripped over stuff.

When they were at the kitchen, he nodded his head in thanks as London settled him by the counter. He casually leaned against it, one elbow resting atop of the marble counter hearing London shuffle around for the strawberries and chocolate. “Sorry if you have to look by yourself. I’d help, but, y’know…” he let the statement hang and flashed a sheepish smile.

Now she just needed to locate some chocolate to melt to dip them in! "I think you could feel around, find the right object eventually... just might find the wrong one a few times first."

He was a little taken off guard when she asked him to look. Not in a bad way though. “Oh, uh, yeah sure.” He liked it when people didn’t treat him differently like others. I mean, yeah, he knew that he would be treated differently, but not very different to the extent where people were awkward around him. That would not be very preferable. Taking his walking stick, his arm extended around and found that the refrigerator. Check there maybe?

Well, what would chocolate be doing in there? Shrugging his shoulders, he opened up the fridge, felt around a bit. He found eggs, milk carton, some pots probably filled with food, and then…voila. Thinking he found something, he turned and lifted it up, “Um, it’s either this is syrup or those Nesquik liquid thingies they put in chocolate milk…will this work?”

London might have giggled at the fact that he actually started to look for chocolate. Just a little. "It's the chocolate stuff," she informed him, grabbing the bottle and locating a bowl as well. Setting everything, all set up, on the table, she snagged Z by the hand and led him over to where everything was settled.

He nodded, actually very proudly, for the fact that he actually did find the chocolate…not like strawberries would taste horrible with syrup. That actually sounded kind of good as well. He let out a fondly chuckle as she pulled him over to where the stuff was set up, feeling her small palm against his. “I’m like the Daredevil, I can do anything.” He nodded his head firmly, but he was obviously joking. Sure he had better healing, sense of touch, and sense of smell than everyone else, but not to the Dare Devil’s extent.

He felt, and then grabbed for one of the strawberries, taking a bite. Yeah, he couldn’t really wait, “I’ll be spoiling my lunch, you know.”

"The Daredevil?" She repeated, at a complete loss as to what he was referring to. A comic, maybe? A movie? Perhaps a book? Whatever it was he was referring to, she definitely didn't get the reference. She raised her eyebrows slightly, curiously, but shrugged.

"You mean dinner?" London asked, teasingly, "it's a bit past lunch time." She glanced down at the bowl full of chocolate, before realizing that perhaps she ought to let him know where it was. It wouldn't exactly be good if he dipped his hand in it. After he'd finished his first strawberry, she handed him another before tugging his hand gently and basically, dipping the strawberry in for him. "Got a pretty good idea of where that shits at, now?"

Mouth opened in shock, “You don’t know who the Daredevil is?” He shook his head, as if in mock disappointment, “He’s only my favorite superhero of all time…with good reason of course. He’s a blind superhero. And seriously a hardcore kickass. And he could see through vibrations, which I’m kind of jealous of…” He shrugged his shoulders at that. Yeah, he was fine about being blind, but that didn’t stop the want to see things. It was very rare though that the need would grow.

“Dinner? Already? Seems like you forget about the time when you’re having fun, or tripping over stuff.” He flashed her an oh so charming grin at her. When she had assisted him with the strawberry, he nodded his head, “Thanks,” and ate the chocolate covered strawberry. Yeah, he could eat like five pounds of this. “So, anything new happen with you?” he asked.

Had anything new happened to her? Well, aside from Maverick, it really hadn't. She'd been spending basically all of her time with him, since she couldn't seem to keep away. Or keep her hands off of him for any reasonable length of time. She grinned a little at the thought, a little pleased by the way things were going there. Even if there hadn't really been talk of, well, things becoming official.

"Does making out a lot count as something new?" She'd never been one to hide what she was up to, after all.

He cocked a brow at her. Not like her answer was very straightforward, but he thought her answer would include schoolwork, or some adventure she had from tripping. “Making out, huh? Fun stuff.” He laughed a little and grabbed for a strawberry, dipping it in the chocolate while he took a bite. Before he spoke, he swallowed what he was chewing, “So, who are the lucky guys? Or are there too many to remember?” he laughed at that, his voice obviously teasing.

“How old are you? Fifteen? You’re not supposed to be making out yet.” He wagged his finger at her jokingly.

"I'm sixteen as of last week," London informed him, sounding rather pleased. "And I've been allowed to make out for the last couple of years. And oh yeah, way too many to remember. Plus, I was fucking drunk off my ass most of the time..."

Okay, joking. She'd only been kissing one person. "Or maybe I've just been kissing the one, just been doing a lot of it," she admitted with a shrug of her shoulders. "And maybe I'm admitting too much." But, really, she hadn't gotten TOO terribly much of a chance to talk about him.

He smiled at her while brows rose, “Well, happy belated birthday. Sixteen, huh? Isn’t that like a special age for girls or something?” He shrugged his shoulders. Age was age to him. He didn’t understand the whole Sweet Sixteen, eighteen, and twenty-one concept of things. He cocked a brow, “Well, aren’t you a popular. I should feel special that you’re hanging out with me.” He chuckled at that.

A smirk tugged on his lips while she continued to talk, “Oh really?” he said genuinely interested. He took another bite of his strawberry, the smirk still on his face, “So…who’s the lucky guy?”

It would probably have been best for London to keep quiet about who she'd been making out with, but London had never been very good at that sort of thing. "Um, Jason Kendall." She would have called him Maverick, but she decided against it since not very many people knew who Maverick was... considering he didn't tend to go by that name. Plus, she didn't want people to actually start calling him that. She liked the idea that she was the only one using that name for him.

“Jason Kendell?” he echoed while he took another bite of his strawberry, “Not really sure who he is to be honest…” his lips pursed, wondering if the name rang any bell…no not really. But his shoulders shrugged, dismissing it, “Anyways, lucky guy. You trip over him yet?” he made it evident that he was joking, and leaning in on the counter, resting his arm there. It wasn’t as if he was going to tell anyone. Z was a trustworthy person, and whatever he heard usually didn’t come out of his mouth. He didn’t feel the need to tell people about each other’s personal life. That just wasn’t him. “So, are you guys a thing?”

"Actually, I don't think I have!" Which surprised her, actually, because typically she would have at least fallen hardcore in front of the boy by this point in time. Oh well, it wasn't likely to last that way... She was sure she'd be falling in front of him soon enough, if there wasn't an instance she'd just happened to have forgotten about already.

London did a lot of face planting around the school.

"Um, a thing. I don't know that we're a thing. We're a... nothing, as far as I know." Disappointment? Okay, maybe a little. She really didn't know WHAT they were, really, which was something that had been on her mind a bit.

He laughed a little at the realization outburst. “Well, congratulations.” Z couldn’t say that he wasn’t a little surprised. London had managed to bump into a blind guy. You’d think that the blind person would have been the clumsier one. However, as mentioned before, Z was a rather poised person. A balanced blind. Which was funny to hear, not like he was the only one.

Z pouted in sympathy hearing the disappointment in her voice. A good majority of the guys wanted to make out, and wanted sex and didn’t really fancy attachment. Not saying that all guys were like that, but maybe this Jason guy was. “Have you tried talking to him about it?” he asked before taking a bite of another strawberry.

"Nope," London replied, with a shrug of her shoulders. Admittedly, talking to him about it was very, very shortly coming up to the top of her list of things to do. She figured that, probably, he wasn't going to be the one to bring it up and that she ought to. Especially before anything else happened between them... well, anything more than what had been happening between them.

He bit onto the strawberry and pursed his lips, “Well, maybe you should take that to consideration…” shoulders shrugged not pursuing the conversation. It wasn’t as if it was any of his business. It wasn’t like Z to pry into people’s business. It felt weird. Sighing lightly, he stood up straight and stretched a little, “I should head back to my room,” he said and then offered London a smile, “I had a fun time hanging out.”

"Me too," London replied, offering him a grin despite the fact that he wouldn't be able to see it. London got up to leave, glancing back and adding a "see you around" before heading out the door. Admittedly, he wouldn't be seeing her around...

But still.

His head nodded at her, “Yeah, I’ll talk to you later.” With that, he managed to put the strawberries and the chocolate away (wouldn’t want to be making a mess) and then went to leave to go to his room. Yeah, his dinner was definitely spoiled tonight. But it was worth it, considering that he had a good time with London, even with the silly questions.
