New Patient Arrival - Day Two Who: Anthony Goldstein (also [OPEN]) When: 8am, October 28th, Day Two Where: Outside the Processing Center What: New Patient Arrival Rating: PG-13 (to be safe) Status: Active
Apparation to The Sanctuary had been a breeze. The new patient had appeared with a crack, followed by another crack that indicated his guide had also arrived. The guide escorted the new arrival in through the short, prim picket fence that surrounded the large, three story, red brick building. The lawn was short and large, with the distance from fence to front door extending just a bit over three hundred feet. There were few trees, but they were large and well maintained, with flower beds beneath them, though there were no flowers thanks to the sudden change in temperature that the fall season brought along with it. The cobble-stone path that led up to the large double-doors of the entrance to The Sanctuary was tred lightly, with the guide moving forward to wave a hand at the doors, indicating their arrival.
The two, large wooden doors would open automatically for the new occupant, the first smell eveloping him was a whiff of lilacs and lavander. But the large, high-ceiling foyer wasn't his destination, though the plush benches looked comfortable and the art on the walls was warm and welcoming. No. It was the large glass doors of the Processing Center that were the ultimate destination, and once the young man had been ushered inside by the helping hands of the two maids waiting just inside the front door (who were also gracious enough to take their bags), his paperwork would begin. Sheet after sheet, it was all filled out, Anthony was given a long, slim journal and special quill that would write as he dictated, then he were adorned with a silver bracelet, bearing the name of the individual patient as well as his room number, with the woman calmly explaining that the bracelets would keep him from being able to perform any magic while under this roof. Then his wands was collected, placed into an individual box which was charmed closed, then placed into a larger box on the floor.
A list of rules and regulations were handed to him, explaining the 10 pm and 11 pm curfews for patients, that they were to be indoors by ten in the evening or they would be locked outside, and that they needed to be in their bedrooms by eleven, or they would be locked out of their rooms. It explained that their bedroom doors would unlock at five in the morning and that the doors leading outside would unlock promptly at seven. Breakfast would be served every day, at seven am and would last until eight, lunch from one to two in the afternoon, and dinner from seven pm until eight pm. Those were the only times that meals would be offered, and if the meals were missed or the patients were hungry for something additional, they would have to make the food themselves in the kitchen. The rules continued on, but he wouldn't have long to read them at the moment, because he was being ushered back out of the Processing Center and into the main building. The woman leading him announced that the rooms with a One in them were on the first floor, and the rooms with a Two in them were in the second floor. He was told that a map could be found within the pages of the journal, at the end, as well as another copy of the Rules and Regulations, in case something happened to theirs. She explained briefly, and in parting, that the journals were all linked and that if they wanted to keep people from seeing his entries, he would have to mark them 'Private', which thanks to the magic in the journals, would lock the entry up tight so that no one would be able to read it.
With that, the woman was turning and heading back into the Processing Center, to prepare for the next group of arrivals. The guides were turning to leave through the large double-doors of the building, leaving Anthony alone in the large, seemingly empty building.
