Hi All!
Hello Everyone!
I'm Jon and I play Isiah Fernsúlfer on hydepark_corner. He's the head of the werewolf faction's primary family, which makes him the werewolf equivalent of a lord, and in regards to the other werewolves living secretly in London, what he says goes. Well, it's supposed to. In his younger days he was known for his violence and temper, and its because of his deliberate actions that he became head of the werewolves, having seen off or killed his brothers and half-brothers in the process. Under his father's rule the werewolves had become animalistic and brutish, living as wolves more than taking human form, and Isiah has made some movements away from that.
They have rules, rules that can not be broken without the threat of fatal retribution, and although perhaps a little feudal, it has worked; Isiah has managed to keep a tight reign on those he presides over. Of course, to the Council he is merely an equal, unless of course you are a vampire and then he's a little less than an equal. The Council keeps the alliances between the various undead peoples strong, and maintains their ties to the humans. In Isiah's case, those links are even stronger due to his marriage to the daughter of Lord Granville, one of the men who sits as a human representative, and a member of the Human Parliament.
The marriage was arranged to provide a strong alliance, and that it has, although perhaps his young wife did not enjoy being turned into a werewolf. But it provided Isiah the heirs he needed, two sons, and a daughter to marry off, all of the same litter. His children are a little more human than he would like for the most part, his daughter as strong-willed and independent as her mother, but Isiah knows that a year or so of marriage will calm her down. His sons, he expects, won't have to fight for the succession as he once did- one is too bookish and too interested in the affairs of humans to make a strong leader, and in the other son he sees a reflection of himself, a younger more stubborn version of himself.
Isiah himself is someone who can control himself. Most of the time. He fights his temper, keeps it caged until he needs it. It is something he only learnt to do once married, and is grateful for that life-lesson. Although his wife thinks him too much a wolf, he is polite, he passes in human company, especially in that of gentlemen where his bark-like laugh can often be heard. He is however much more the wolf when it comes to what he wants- he has hardly been faithful to his wife since their litter were young, and hardly bothers to hide the fact. He enjoys meddling, if only to make the lives of others, especially humans, harder, and has a deep curiosity regarding those humans with supernatural abilities- the witches and the soothsayers and the mediums, although he's yet to find one he thinks really has the power to speak to the dead.
Any questions you would like to ask about Isiah please go ahead, and you can contact me via the information on this insanejournal post.I have another two characters in game, waiting in the wings, and will be introducing them over the next couple of days.
