| 10:32 am - FIC - The Fool by katzpajamas Title: The Fool Author: katzpajamas / magikcatfics Type: Fiction Length: 3,528 words Main character or Pairing: James Sirius Potter and Fred Weasley the Younger – as well as cameos from Rose Weasley and Harry Potter Rating: PG-13 Disclaimer: If you recognize it, it ain’t mine. Warnings: Language Summary: The night before their last year, James S. Potter and his cousin decide to celebrate the end of summer with a night about town in the Muggle world. Card Interpretation: The Fool is the first card of the Tarot and is generally unnumbered, or numbered zero. The Fool is at the start of our journey and is the initiator. Seen by many as the innocent, he has an eagerness and freshness about him. He is young and carefree, entering the World without preconceptions…Sometimes the Fool is seen as too carefree - certainly a good dose of other people's more negative reality could damage him. However, for as long as the Fool has faith in his own purity and innocence, others will not be able to take advantage. Author Notes: This didn’t end up like I thought it would, but I’m relatively pleased with it all the same. Many thanks to my betas — author_by_night and mollywheezy!

Title: A Happier Time Nonexistent Author: laverinth Type: Art Main character or Pairing: Harry Card: The Fool Card Interpretation:"With light step, as if earth and its trammels had little power to restrain him, a young man in gorgeous vestments pauses at the brink of a precipice among the great heights of the world; he surveys the blue distance before him-its expanse of sky rather than the prospect below. His act of eager walking is still indicated, though he is stationary at the given moment; his dog is still bounding. The edge which opens on the depth has no terror; it is as if angels were waiting to uphold him, if it came about that he leaped from the height. His countenance is full of intelligence and expectant dream. He has a rose in one hand and in the other a costly wand, from which depends over his right shoulder a wallet curiously embroidered. He is a prince of the other world on his travels through this one-all amidst the morning glory, in the keen air. The sun, which shines behind him, knows whence he came, whither he is going, and how he will return by another path after many days. He is the spirit in search of experience." (Sorry that's so long.) from the Pictorial Key to the Tarot Rating: G Disclaimer: Harry Potter characters are the property of J.K. Rowling and people with more money than me. Warnings: BUTTERFLIES Artist Notes: Notice that I haven't really followed the interpretation exactly. Mostly, I wanted to show Harry before further hardships come along. At this point he would be willing to face anything that came at him. He is still naive. I wanted to do something simple, as this represents a more simple time, a time Harry can only wish for, really.
