ART: "Unspoken" for musamihi
Recipient: [info]musamihi
Artist: [info]sigune
Title: Unspoken
Rating: G
Pairing: Minerva McGonagall/Severus Snape
Media: Staedtler pens, red calligraphy ink (totally inappropriate for painting), grey ecoline, Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for the frame
Warnings: incredible G-ness and utter worksafeness
Summary: Between Headmaster Snape and his Deputy Headmistress, what is essential remains unspoken.
Artist's Notes: One of the worst things about Harry's decision not to return to Hogwarts for his seventh year is that we only got a few minutes' confrontation between Headmaster Severus and Minerva. Augh! Here is my take on what we didn't see. I hope you like it.
I had great beta-help from C. Don't blame her for anything that looks awkward - that's totally my own fault.
NB: the strange thing they are sitting on is a Victorian conversation chair.

This is gorgeous! The white highlights in their hair lead into each other beautifully, and their clothes and postures mirror each other really well; that, I think, sets off the contrasted expressions even more. (I second what albalark said about their postures, too--Minerva looks almost as if she's pulling away, her face turned toward the reader but her head is touching Severus's. Very conflicted, yet so intimate.)

Ah, yes, and the matching shoes. Everything's better with quirky--yet perfectly appropriate--shoes.
