What a wonderful story! It's the first time that I read this pairing, and it works really, really well. Your Filius fits so well into the canon descriptions, rare as they are, with developing so much more to him and making him such an enjoyable and interesting character. I love the way he treats Severus and leads the way towards some really enjoyable relationship.
