I am utterly delighted with this story - the characters, the way it's told, the IC, pitch-perfect dialogue. And the politics! I almost didn't click (except I love Neville & Minerva & Augusta) but ooh, *love* the politics!

Apparently it's just for wizards, though. There are never any good words for witches. Wizards take them all." She stared into her drink morosely.

"You could take them back," Neville said.

Gran and Professor McGonagall smiled at each other. "Yes, we could," Gran said. "If we set our minds to it."


I loved this! I loved this story. It's a magnificent taking-back triumph, from its slyly understated beginning to its happy, reality-accepting end. Yay to you for writing it, and to N, for inspiring it!
