It wasn't every day that a guy's sister got married to a guy that was perfectly genetically matched. In Aleksey's mind the only way to properly celebrate was to get really very drunk. He'd spoken with the manager about having a little fun and keeping the bar open for a while longer than they normally did on a work night. It hadn't been too difficult, the number of people who he expected to show up would more than make up for the late night. He hadn't bothered to decorate, the club was nice enough as it was and he wasn't the sort to spend hours working on a banner. The main draw was the slightly reduced prices on drinks, and that spoke louder than any decorations ever could. All in all it was shaping up to be a nice night out on the town. He looked over everything one last time before remembering the cake he'd gotten the cute Italian girl from the bakery to make for Lidia and Gus. It looked like a normal wedding cake, until you noticed the couple at the top were chained together at the ankle, prison style.
He darted back behind the bar to go get it and then smirked as he looked at it again. Liddy would be amused, and who cared what her new husband thought. He didn't seem like a terrible person and Aleks was sure if anyone ended up eating anyone alive in that relationship it would be Lidia, but that didn't make him feel any more at ease with the situation. His sister wasn't made to be tied down, and he couldn't even imagine her with a child. That was the situation they were in, however. He'd better get used to it. He was pulled out of his thoughts by the pretty blonde girl who tapped him on the shoulder and asked for him to be the judge in a game of flip cup that'd broken out at one of the tables.
He grinned lazily and let her lead him there by the hand. Yes, it was shaping up to be a very nice night.
