Who: Michele and Gus When: Afternoon, October 20th. Where: 100 Orchid Road. Rating: TBD Summary: Gus stops by to pick up pumpkin seeds and admire the best decorated house on the block. Warnings: Nothing objectionable besides Gus's tendency to swear.
There was something very appealing about having a visit with a neighbor. He'd known a lot of people in his building back home, and he'd definitely been the sort of guy who'd just hang around and shoot the shit. He had also been the sort of guy to scam a beer or two and maybe a free slice of pizza from the deal, but he wasn't going to be a slacker or a mooch today. Gus felt pretty damned shabby standing around in his super amazing house, and with he and Lidia, so far, on opposite schedules, he was feeling uncomfortably lonely. He was a social animal, and the fact that his 'wife' wasn't very personable definitely didn't ease that particular need.
Thankfully, he wasn't chained inside the house, and the offer of free food from one of his neighbors was too good to pass up. And like Michele had said, it was pretty impossible to miss the best decorated house on the block. He was grinning even as he strolled up the walk, pausing in the street a moment to admire it. Damn. They had definitely gone all out! It made him feel a little homesick, truth be told - his mom had always been really into decorating for Halloween - but he let the feeling pass as he tromped up the walk and knocked on the door. Like usual, Gus was wearing jeans, heavy black boots and a wife beater that was frayed a bit at the hem. His faux-hawk was jauntily done up, but he hadn't shaved for a few days. Gus only had so much effort to spread around.
He stepped back from the door after he knocked, a deeply ingrained habit. Most people didn't like some big dude towering over them right when they opened the door, and he didn't want to come off as threatening when he really was anything but.
