Who: Gus, Lidia, and Aleks. When: Wednesday afternoon, October 19th. Where: 103 Orchid. Rating: TBD. Summary: Move in day. Gus meets his brother in law. Warnings: Probably swears but nothing else.
They hadn't wasted time. Neither of them were interested in standing on ceremony, and delaying it served no real purpose. They'd gone and signed the necessary paperwork and then went back to their dorms to pack up their stuff, swung by the clinic for their injection (which involved very little fanfare, considering) and would reconvene at their new digs.
Gus, who had taken the day off and only had to throw his things into a backpack, arrived first. He had a bit of a snoop around the place, mostly gawking, and he was sort of flabbergasted that this was a low income home. Low income his ass, it was a fucking palace compared to any place, ever, that he'd ever lived! There was plenty of space, at any rate, and space was going to be important. If the two of them, with what he felt was a semi-unique arrangement, had to live in each other's pockets, it probably would've gotten bloody. Mostly for him - he had no doubt that his Russian 'bride' could rip him to shreds. Probably with her bare hands. Maybe she'd use her teeth, too.
He tossed his backpack in the closet, chucked his toothbrush in the bathroom, and called himself moved in. The bed was a good size to - he had considered, briefly, offering to sleep on the couch and then just hand waved that idea. They'd had a marathon screw, and he doubted she was unused to having a dude in her bed. Sleeping together didn't have to lead to sex. Plenty of room on the bed for two people stuck in an awkward goddamn pretend-relationship to sleep on.
Pleased with his (their?) new digs, he went back out front to await the arrival of Lidia and her brother. While he was vaguely uneasy, if only because he was, in essence, going to have to knock up some dudes twin sister, he didn't think he had too much to worry about. They were all adults here (in body if not in mind), and there wasn't a whole lot of choice in the matter. He was looking forward to meeting her brother more than he was apprehensive about it. After marrying a perfect stranger? He wasn't sure there was much left to be nervous about.
He sat on the front step of his Government assigned house and stared out at the manufactured vista, unable to help but slowly shake his head. This was like some alien landscape compared to home. He didn't mind it, but there was something very false about it that left a weird taste in his mouth. Or maybe that was some side effect of the injection? Either way, he was eager for Lidia and Aleks to show up and distract him.
