Who: Léon Rousseau & Rosemary Shahi
When: (SUPER DUPER BACKDATED) September 28th, 2051 3:27pm
Where: Dorm Courtyard
Rating: PG - PG-13
Summary: The newly paired couple has their first ever meeting.
Warnings: Um, excessive Rosemary controlling-ness?
It felt warm; warmer than Rosemary had expected it to be and she began wondering if meeting in the courtyard had been such a great idea after all. She had checked her Helper four times before leaving her dorm, even now she kept glancing down at the thing perched on her jean clad lap to see if the temp wash suspiciously high because she was starting to feel slightly smothered. Then again it could just be her own nerves causing the clenching in her stomach and the sweat beading on her pale forehead. No, she refused to think that any kind of nervousness was the reason for her feeling so very...uncomfortable right now. She had even gone out of her way to make sure to arrive in the courtyard way earlier than necessary to not only make sure she picked a suitable spot (a somewhat secluded bench shaded by a large tree) but to make sure she had complete control over any kind of nerves she might have before Leo made his appearance.
It would be completely stupid for her to be feeling any kind of anxiety at this point anyway. This kind of thing was something that really did happen all the time in this place. People where getting paired together and forced into awkward meetings just about everyday so this wasn't anything special. So there wasn't going to be any awkwardness here if she had to say anything about it. After all Rosemary had been planning exactly how this meeting was going to go for several weeks now which was why she was sitting there with her Helper at the ready.
A pleased smile touched her lips as she looked down at the machine, absentmindedly pushing damp strands of long hair out of her face. For the past ten minutes Rosemary had been carefully putting the bit of info on Leo she had from the pairing notification in a sort of chart. There was his job, his age (he was older than her but she could work through that), and she had set an alarm to remind her when his birthday would come around. There was even a list she had made of the questions she wanted him to answer and a little blank section for the answers. This she could do. She could compartmentalize this situation into something almost business-like with lists and facts and not let herself dwell on just how life-changing this all was. She could let herself think about the good things that could happen and the excitement of it all.
Rosemary was going to ignore the voices in the back of her head going on about how she should’ve worn her hair up or that the simple white blouse she was wearing wasn’t right. She was going to spend the next few minutes waiting for Leo going over her list and chalking up any flutters to nothing but excitement.
