Hi! Ali with a fourth, and I swear, my last for now. This is Howl Pendragon (formerly known as Howell Jenkins) of Howl's Moving Castle. It's a book by Diana Wynne Jones that was turned into an anime film by Studio Ghibli. My Howl is based on the book version and not the movie version. I love the movie, it's what turned me onto the books, but the characterization is more interesting in the books, especially to play.

Howl is originally from Wales (in what's implied to be our universe) and ended up in another world, the magical land of Ingary. He became a wizard and he's a very good one, or he would be if he weren't so terribly lazy. He's sort of a vain, snarky charmer who perhaps has a heart of tarnished silver instead of gold. Anyway, he's magical and used to alternate universes and should be a ton of fun. He's from a bit after the first book (there are two sort-of-sequels that feature him and Sophie as secondary characters instead of the main), but we're going to say it's before he gets married so that people can only be a little appalled when he gets charming. (And to rescue him from some of Sophie's wrath, should she ever show up.)

Um, he's rooming with Bianca, so she gets to put up with having a vain drama queen for a roommate, lucky her. He also tends to dye his hair a lot, which is part of the reason for the PB choice, since Ben ends up dying his hair a lot for roles. So don't be surprised when I swap around hair color icons.

So.. yeah! Bug me!

Hi, guys! My name's Vera, I'm new here and I'm really excited about this place. It's been a while since I've been in a game, but I can never seem to stay away for long, so here I am, ready to be all spaztastic about fictional characters again. I swear I'm super nice and don't bite, so feel free to email me anytime at andbadwolves@gmail.com or poke me on aim at saysthesloth for plotting or mindless chatter.

I'm bringing in Therese here, who comes from the comic book series Fables. Therese is one of the seven (yes, seven) children of Snow White and the reformed Big Bad Wolf. Despite being a baby wolf and having to learn to shift into human form and control her weird abilities (flight included), she had a pretty normal life with her brothers and sisters and their parents. A few weeks ago (in "normal world" time), she was taken to a place called Toyland by a magical toy boat, and made queen by all the toys there. Unfortunately, the toys ended up being murderers who had all accidentally caused the deaths of their children. To make a long story short, they needed a child to restore them to their former glory, but they got more than they bargained for in Therese. After nearly starving, she went a little bit feral, ate a tiger who had come to rescue her, ordered a bunch of toys burned to cook her meat, and then cooled down once she realized that her brother had come to save her and had died in the process. Time passed differently on the island, so Therese is now fourteen and trying to make up for her sins by sending her toy subjects out to save children and do good deeds. She's fairly nice, but is still a wolf and will snarl at you if you get on her bad side. She's probably going to be a little awkward around people, since she's only been around talking toys for years, but I'm sure that's going to be half the fun.

I am open to any kind of interactions with her, and plots of all sorts!

Thank god, my midterms are finally done. *headdesk* Which means I'm actually around now. *waves* Yeah, I probably didn't need to post that, but oh well. Hi to new people, hi to new characters!

So... hi again! This is my second character: Rae "Sunshine" Seddon from Robin McKinley's Sunshine. I'm going to guess that you guys haven't heard of this, since most people I encounter haven't until I force them to read it. It's set in sort of an alternate universe United States where magic and vampires and demons are all known facts of life. It's set about 10 or 15 years after the Voodoo Wars, which basically pitted humans against the Others, as demons/vampires/etc. are often referred to. Primarily the vampires, since it's an established fact that most of the Others don't organize enough to be a threat (and later established that some of them don't really WANT to). Vampires are the big villains in the book, which is why it is, of course, about a girl having to deal more closely with a vampire.

As for Sunshine, she's the protagonist of the book. She's a baker at her stepfather's coffee shop/bakery/restaurant and invents recipes and fusses about the quality of her flour before she's kidnapped and held as a meal for a vampire.

Sunshine's a magic user, but magic is considered kind of sketchy in this universe and serious practitioners of it are both respected and feared. Sunshine was only vaguely trained in it, over the course of a few visits with her; her father was part of a heavy magic-using family and when her parents split up, her mother didn't want her to have anything to do with them. Sunshine's magical abilities are VERY vaguely defined, so we can probably get away with whatever we want for plot purposes, but it's also really easy to limit them since, as mentioned, she wasn't trained. The main caveat is that her affinity is for sunlight; she can do a hell of a lot in direct sunlight, but ask her to do shit at night and she's going to tire out really fast.

Um, I don't want to tell the entire story, so there's the basic overview needed for this game. The other thing to know is that Sunshine is kind of temperamental and can definitely be a bitch, especially when you try to tug her out of her element. So while she is a TON of fun, if your character doesn't like people with attitude, they are not going to get along so well.

Questions? Plot? Hit me up!

Hi there! I'm Ali, I'm new, and I'm my lunch break at work, so this will be sort of short. I'm bringing in Dr. John Watson from BBC's Sherlock. John's from after 2x03, The Reichenbach Fall, so if you're at all familiar with the show, you know he's going to be pretty depressed. Getting tossed into a hotel full of ghosts will probably not cheer him up. Hopefully everyone knows of Dr. Watson from some version of Sherlock Holmes or another, but to sum up: ex-soldier, doctor, companion/partner of Sherlock Holmes. He's pretty badass in an unassuming sort of way.

Hit me up for plot! I'll post an intro after work for him. And it's best to get hold of me through e-mail: onethousandnames@gmail.com.
