[28 Sep 2011|11:11am] Six Degrees is a post-war social game set in 2006.  It's a small laid-back game, and we don't have any complicated game-canon that you need to learn before joining.  We're looking for some new players to join us, especially if they're bringing along... ➜ Bill or Charlie Weasley -- Bill's wife Fleur is already in the game, but no doubt she'd love to have her husband around.  After that, Charlie is the only missing Weasley link! ➜ Parvati Patil -- Padma is already in the game, and she does miss her sister, no matter what else has happened in the past. ➜ Justin Finch-Fletchley, Ernie Macmillan, Zacharias Smith -- Wayne Hopkins is the only male Hufflepuff from the trio year around, he needs some guy friends! Fifty years after the first pro-mutant demonstrations in the United States a great deal has changed. The country has not one but two schools dedicated to the training and education of people with powers. Their goals, however, are incredibly different. The government funded Shepard-Wyatt Institute has a long tradition of training mutants to work for the military while the secret sanctuary of Hewitt's School for Troubled Youth advocates choice. With the political climate in the country heating up once more on mutant rights issues can these two schools continue to peacefully coexist, or will it end in a showdown played out on the streets of the nation? Only one thing is certain: diverging paths and opinions can only lead to discourse or destruction. diverging is a superpower-based PB game that welcomes diverse characters created by players ages 18 and up. [28 Sep 2011|09:41pm] CROSSING TOWNS Since its founding in 1892, Clifton has always been a town divided by its train tracks. Based on the textile industry, there are those that manage and those that work. The East side of the town consists of the Haves while the West is the home of the Have-Nots. Though over one hundred years have passed, the town is no closer to unity. The rich stay on their side of town while the less wealthy stay on theirs though there are extremes to both social classes. Each side has their shops, their restaurants, and even their own schools. The three factories are still going strong; however, some residents are slowly spreading out to other local businesses and even commute to nearby New York City. Growth is occurring all around them even if some in Clifton are still stuck in their ways. This past summer changed everything, however. A severe weather pattern brought the worst weather the town had seen in a century. The tornado that blew through the area reduced East Clifton High to nothing but rubble, leaving the students with nowhere to go. After arguing and debating amongst the residents of Clifton, Mayor Wilson Davis made the final call to combine East Clifton High with West Clifton High. Few are happy with the arrangement. Not only are there years of prejudice to overcome, but there is overcrowding, biases, and even the merging of school teams causing chaos. But they've got to make it work somehow. Welcome to Tranquility, Pennsylvania, just another ordinary small town in a post-evolutionary world. Tensions are running high as, one by one, the powered students are outed and the anti-powered sentiment strengthens. It’s been thirty years since the Powered People’s Protection Act was passed, yet the world is still filled with discrimination and hatred, and in a small town like Tranquility, things don’t change unless you force them to.
