This is not your average MWPP game. No one's worried about defeating You-Know-Who. No one has any idea about horcruxes. No, these kids have a much bigger problem: surviving Hogwarts. We have Gryffindors running around looking like lions, Slytherins plotting pranks involving mice, Hufflepuffs rallying behind their own and a Muggle film night ending with spiked Pumpkin juice.
Hearts will be broken, interhouse wars will be fought and these kids are going to show those professors that this is the real world; their real world.

Pranksters is an AU MWPP roleplaying game set at Hogwarts in 1977, the Marauders' last year. While Voldemort exists, the war outside of the school is not a main focus of the game. Most canon characters are currently open for play.

SEPTEMBER 2011Lima, Ohio used to be just another ordinary town. Then the government stepped in and turned Lima into a holding ground for people with unusual abilities. Thanks to a mind wipe, no one even remembers it happening. But that was before a lightning storm destroyed a statue that had kept unusual things from happening for 50 years. Suddenly, all the teenagers came down with a flu-type illness that lasted for weeks. When it stopped, everyone thought things had gone back to normal. Spoiler Alert: They were wrong. Now, strange things are happening. Kids are developing powers that they thought were only in comic books. Flying, telekinesis, weather manipulation...Lima is seeing it all, and the members of New Directions and their friends are right in the middle of it all. The question is: what side will they choose? |

As the new millennium dawns, Wizarding England is a bleak place. A failing economy and skyrocketing unemployment has most of the citizens living hand-to-mouth, strict laws seperate the muggleborns from the rest of society, and harsh punishments are visited on anyone who steps out of line. Violence and riots spring up, only to be met with force from the Ministry. The Ministry keeps its people under control by fostering a fear of muggles, leading the population to believe that muggles are one step away from discovering them, and that they would all be rounded up and killed if that happened.
Unknown to most of the country, Voldemort and his Knights of Walpurgis run the government, ordering everything to suit their own ends. Though the population believes Voldemort to be dead (twice), he dictates everything, patient in his immortality and confident that his hiding is only temporary. At every turn, the Order tries to thwart them, but the Knights rarely use brute force anymore. The subtle weapons of propaganda and policy prove to be a deadly force, but the Order isn't beaten yet. They know Voldemort's weakness: the horcruxes. But they have to work fast. Because Voldemort has a new plan... |
