X-Project - seeking students! [29 Sep 2010|12:29pm]
Game: X-Project
Genre: X-Men Movieverse on LJ
Newly Available Characters: Cannonball, Psylocke, Dust, Anole, Network, Outlaw, Sunpyre, Dryad, Catseye

The new school year has started and X-Project needs students, ages 14-17! We have a number of previously played socks and NPCs available or we'd welcome new youngsters to begin at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.

Plenty of gaming opportunities exist, from the New Mutants training team to groups such as the Red Cross initiative Red X; NGO, Elpis; and the mutant-human coexistence group HeliX. Or there's just the wacky hijinks that happen when you have a house full of super-powered teenagers living with a superhero team in the basement.

Brief Description of your game: X-Project is an X-Men movieverse RPG on Livejournal. Set after X2, we've been running since May 2003 and use a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. There's a number of settings for a range of play, whatever your preference, and while we accept new characters we strongly encourage people to adopt one of our orphans.

Link to Game Information/Application: Applications can be found here. Please read the previous history of the character before applying. A test log with the mods will usually be required, and we'll ask prospective players to communicate with players in the cases of significant relationships with a played character (eg: If you want to app Jeanne-Marie Beaubier, you'll be asked to ping Jean-Paul's player, to ensure continuity). See the FAQ on Applications for details.

Life changed in 1930 for every wizard and witch in London. Gellert Grindelwald killed Albus Dumbledore on a muggle street and rose to power. Nothing is like it should be. It wasn't long before Grindelwald extended his power to the muggle world as well as the magical world. Halfbloods, muggleborns, and even muggles live in fear. Breaking boundaries and rewriting old laws, he controlled everything he could see. Unhappy with just that, he stretched his power, spanning countries.

The Class of the Chrysanthemum rose early against the dark dictator, only to be broken into factions when their leader, Cassiopeia Black, met her untimely death at the end of Grindelwald's wand. Still the Class of the Chrysanthemum fought on in factions, not knowing who to trust.

It's war, but no one seems to know it.

Set seventy years after his initial take over in 2000, the new millennium, some people still hold hope for the future, but some have given up entirely.

Most wanted: Andromeda Tonks, Ted Tonks, Narcissa Malfoy, Regulus Black, Luna Lovegood, Parvati Patil, Padma Patil, Alicia Spinnet, Seamus Finnigan, Dean Thomas, Rabastan Lestrange, Rodolphus Lestrange, Pansy Parkinson, Hermione Granger, Bill Weasley, and many more.

Accepting muggles and [magical/muggle] original characters!

Dark Obsidian - A Noir Game [29 Sep 2010|05:49pm]
CRIME FAMILIES

The Petrovskii Family

Known as The Tsar, Kir Petrovskii rules his part of town with an iron fist... and a rather large knife. With a fondness for sharp objects, this is one boss you don't want to even think about messing with for fear of ending up in his freezer. Smuggling precious gems from just about everywhere, the Russian's are notorious for their high quality jewellery and drugs. If the price is right and you're important enough to show up on their radar, so are the women. Known by the Force as one of the most grotesque families in Obsidian, the Russian's deal not only in beautiful stones but beautiful women.

If you thought the Italians were ruthless, you have another thing coming. The Petrovskii family isn't ruled by any laws but those that come from the mouth of The Tsar. If you decided to skip a payment then you better get used to the idea of being alone. Not only will they rub out your family, but just about everyone you love and just because they can, they'll make your death nice and slow.

Think you got the cajones to dance with the Russians? Have a little too much disposable income and a penchant for women? The Petrovskii's can be found at Duma, in the Diamond district... but tread lightly because this family is known for some of the worst crimes of the century.

They'll be waiting in Obsidian.
