The scientists have successfully kept their project a secret, hiding away in the bowels of Maine. They've censored, monitored, and all but controlled the mutated, posing as doctors, teachers, and trusted family members. Powers are starting to emerge and it's their job to test the limits. Conflict is rising in the souls of the sympathetic as excitement rises in the apathetic. The experiments are far from over, but the danger is just beginning. The Genome Project is a game focusing on original characters with super powers and the scientists that mutated them. Applications for characters under 25 are closed until May 1, unless applying for a character on our premade list. We desperately need more scientists. Open since early January. Bellatrix, Narcissa, Alecto, Ted, Kingsley, Ginny, Jugson, Regulus, Rabastan [28 Apr 2010|07:08pm] Name: Alison Game: Chronic Resurrection (via cr_mod) Fandom: Harry Potter Format: mostly journals, but threading or logging is good too Genre: dark AU time travel, set in 1979 and 2000 Who you're in search of: Bellatrix Lestrangee, Narcissa Malfoy, Alecto Carrow, Ted Tonks, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Ginny Weasley, Armand Jugson, Regulus Black, Rabastan Lestrange We are in need of our female Death Eaters! Bellatrix has a Rodolphus ready for her and Alecto has an Amycus, so they will have instant interactions and plot. Rabastan is wanted by Rodolphus too. Narcissa is sorely missed by Lucius. Ted is wanted by Andromeda and Nymphadora to round off their family, and Kingsley by the rest of the Order because they could really do with some help! :-) Hermione and Ron would love to see Ginny - or other people their own age, to be honest! Armand Jugson is Jugson the DE and is wanted by his sister Katharina, best friend Walden, and wife Keagan. Regulus would be much loved for plot purposes, as his joining the DE has been messed up by time-travelling Harry's interference. It's a dark game - we tend to focus more on DE and Slytherins than other games do, and in 2000 the DE have won. (Harry time-travelled back to the 70s and got so preoccupied with that he failed to stop Voldemort in the 90s.) Characters who would be alive in both times are played in both times e.g. Katharina here has separate journals for her teenage self and her adult self. You should probably look up the premise if that's still confusing! It's very easy to get the hang of, and I'm happy to go through it as it relates to your character if you have any problems. Gellert Grindelwald killed Albus Dumbledore on a muggle street and rose to power. Nothing is like it should be. It wasn't long before Grindelwald extended his power to the muggle world as well as the magical world. Halfbloods, muggleborns, and even muggles live in fear. Breaking boundaries and rewriting old laws, he controlled everything he could see. Unhappy with just that, he stretched his power, spanning countries. The Class of the Chrysanthemum rose early against the dark dictator, only to be broken into factions when their leader, Cassiopeia Black, met her untimely death at the end of Grindelwald's wand. Still the Class of the Chrysanthemum fought on in factions, not knowing who to trust. It's war, but no one seems to know it. Set seventy years after his initial take over in 2000, the new millennium, some people still hold hope for the future, but some have given up entirely. The game officially begins May 1st.
