Roxanne stepped back a little, winding her arms around herself as Theo prepared the mechanism. It should work. She couldn't think of any reason it wouldn't. But still, there was a faint sense of anxious anticipation running through her as she waited.
"I suppose," she agreed as he came back to stand beside her. She could see his pleased smile out of the corner or her eye, and it didn't do much for the slight knot in her stomach. "Team grease monkey? Hah! Yes!"
The astrarium, which had been clicking into life, suddenly made a smooth whirring noise and started to move. Roxanne beamed delightedly, reaching out to smack Theo repeatedly on the arm with excitement, her dark gaze not leaving the machine. "We did it! Look at it!"
Bounding forward and ducking down, Roxanne took a closer look at the way the dials were turning, watching the small planets ticking gently around their suns. She had no bloody idea how to read the damn thing, obviously, but it looked amazing.
Still grinning, she turned back to her dark haired companion, bouncing up on her tiptoes to press a quick kiss to his cheek. "Thanks."
