"Perhaps just a little," Remus agreed with a warm smile as he tapped a finger playfully on the tip of Regulus' nose. "And I'm less worried about the poor idiots who would end up hexed trying to break in here and more worried about anyone who might just suddenly appear here because the castle wants them back."
Chuckling, Remus shook his head. "We'll just have to ask her, then." Personally, he couldn't see Savannah or her father as the type to think about password protecting the common room if it wasn't already. Security didn't seem to come naturally to either. But, he could always be pleasantly surprised. "Harry is definitely paranoid." Should it be weird that Remus rarely misunderstood which 'Potter' Regulus was referring to at a given time? But, really, it wasn't like one could describe Prongs as 'paranoid'. "Like you, I would assume he taught his kids to be mindful of such things, for all they don't seem to be as truly paranoid. Although, now I'm wondering if it would be possible to out-patience a spell that would talk you to death."
The idea of a private library was...well, honestly, it was his childhood dream come true, even if it was a dream he'd given up a belief in well before even sitting his OWLs. "Perhaps a writing table or two, as well. Someplace to spread out a bit while researching, if necessary." Reaching for Regulus' hand, he laced their fingers together. "I cast some spells to keep the scents from travelling to the rest of the rooms, no matter where you put the potions room, if you like. They're meant to keep other werewolves away, something I learned from others while I was in France. But, that just means they'd do well enough for normal olfactory senses," he explained with a shrug. "But, I like the idea of having extra protections just on this side, an added layer where you need it most."
Regulus' expression was adorable and he had to lean over to kiss him softly. "We were pretty far out of town and isolated. Lots of land. I could take my books outside, climb a tree to read. Mam's domain was the kitchen and the garden. Tad had a desk in the family room. We made do." And they all got along better than the Black family from what Remus knew of it.
