Jamie & Lily
"Yes, of course." Lily responded with a somber smile as she looked up at her grandson.
She was still sorting through her feelings regarding being a grandmother. On the surface, she was excited, but knowing that her own son didn't have a good relationship with his children was weighing heavy on her mind. She knew deep down that there was no way she could magically fix whatever issues existed between Harry and his kids, but that wasn't going to stop her from trying. She wanted to earn their trust, and show them that she was someone who they could and should feel safe around. And while she suspected that it wouldn't be easy, Lily's determination was up for the challenge. There was absolutely nothing that could stop her from forging a relationship with her grandchildren, other than them deciding they didn't want anything to do with her.
Which would be just heartbreaking.
She had the nagging sensation that if she managed to get any of them to talk about Harry, it would take time.
Thankfully, at the moment, she had plenty of that.
And this was rather important.
"Of course not, darling," she demurred, wrapping her arm around his easily as she fell into step beside him. Lily had already told James that she would be meeting up with Jamie, so he knew not to worry. He'd already gotten to spend time with the grandkids, it was her turn now.
