Even though she could remember seeing him not that long ago, she missed him.
"I love you too, James," she responded, searching his face for signs that he was alright. He was acting as though they hadn't seen one another in months. She wasn't going to question it, at least not at the moment, not when there were dozens of other questions Lily was waiting to ask James once he answered the ones she already asked.
"I'm fine, love." She took a slight step back to let him get a good look at her, gently resting one hand on his cheek. If it wasn't for the note of panic in his tone she would think he was pulling her leg. From the look in his eyes and the way he was staring, she believed that he really was concerned about her.
She linked her fingers easily with his, the sigh from James making her brow furrow. Allowing him to guide her over to the wall, she sat down and waited for him to speak again. There was something bothering him, Lily could sense it in the way he was acting. Whatever it was, she would help in any way that she could.
"I think so... I arrived here, except I wasn't entirely myself." She started, shifting just a little closer to him. "I believed Peter was my twin brother, for some reason." She nodded. "Yes, Peter mentioned we were in the future, and that something was going on... James, how long have you been here?"
