Re: James | Remus
James raised his eyebrows, waiting. Then Remus spoke and a slow, crooked grin bloomed brightly over his features, wiping out any tiredness or anxiety from the night before. Remus was looking at him like someone had just handed him they keys to the world, and James couldn't help the loud celebratory whoop that escaped him.
"Moony!"
He bounded towards his friend sat on the bed, all excited flailing limbs as he flung himself down beside Remus and slung an arm around his shoulders in a enthusiastic one armed hug. Then he remembered it was the morning after, and Remus' sore everything, and quickly let go. "Oops. Sorry."
Perhaps his apology was diluted somewhat by the fact that he couldn't stop grinning, but never mind. James tried his best to channel his glee into bouncing on the mattress instead, sending the pillow falling sadly to the floor.
"Moony!" He said again. "This is - that's amazing! Do you remember when I got my antlers stuck in that bush? It happens all the time. Bloody nightmare. What about freaking out those rabbits near Hagrids? You two are going to get wedged one of these days, you..."
He trailed off, stopping his bouncing to beam hugely across at Remus. "Mate, this is going to change everything."
