James | Remus
James had slept late, or as late as he could with work the next day. It had meant he turned up at the MLE rooms dressed even more haphazardly than usual, and with a cold slice of toast in his hand, but there you go. He was pretty sure Ron wasn't about to call him out too harshly on it.
He'd got through most of the morning with only a few stifled yawns, then swung by the great hall to grab an early lunch before hurrying back to Gryffindor tower. He didn't have long before he had to be back, but he wanted to check in on Moony.
Last night had been.. different. Not bad different. Definitely not that. But it had been clear that something had changed as they sprinted here and there under the achingly full moon. There had been less... unpredictability, he supposed. But even that didn't quite cut it. At least James hadn't woken up bruised from having to try and restrain a grumpy Moony when he decided to go for a plod off somewhere he shouldn't.
"Remus?" James knocked twice but didn't wait for a reply before pushing the door open. After sharing a room, and full moons, for however many years, you kind of moved past that stuff. Still, he was faintly surprised when he stepped in and found Remus halfway dressed, rather than snoring happily away in bed. "Um... what are you doing?"
