Scorpius had always been so much more social then him. Which wasn't hard, Al supposed. He was about as anti-social as it got. Still. It made sense that Scorpius would still want to be out here, to talk to people. It was the first time something even remotely exciting had happened in a while. He didn't want to drag his friend away from it, even if he was feeling itchy and anxious. It wasn't that many people, compared to how the pitch had been before the world ended. He could handle this.
"Okay. Or, you know, you could talk and I'll, stand? Behind you?" That was their strategy at the parties Scorpius took him too. Al was the afterthought at those, and he kind of loved being his friends unnoticed shadow.
