Padma pulled her sister into a brief hug. "It's not your fault," she said decisively as she pulled back. "You tried to prevent it. And this doesn't happen for more than twenty years after. Kingsley might not even be Minister. Whoever is, or was, may not even have known about your vision. They'd have logged it in my department and then promptly forgotten about it like they do most things. There are too many possibilities to think this was a result of simply knowing what you Saw."
Somewhere something had gone wrong. Nott had said muggle science mixed with magic? How desperate had they gotten to attempt something like that? And how much had Mysteries been involved? That sort of experimental work was most likely to fall into their purview. Had Padma been part of that? She didn't think she would have been. It sounded insane. But, how much had changed in two and a half decades?
"This isn't your fault," she repeated. "You may have Seen it, but you didn't cause it. Other people made the choices that created this disaster."
