Re: Savannah/Jamie
Jamie laughed. "And we're back to the failings of all men," he teased. There was something different in the way Malfoy interacted with Scorpius, though, so maybe she was on to something. Merlin knew none of the men in his family were any good with emotions. "You might have me on that one. I can honestly say I've never had to deal with naked, post-sex Dad."
Jamie worried he'd learned a lot of lessons from his father well. Sorting out his baggage from what he'd picked up of his father's was going to be an even weirder task than trying to find a relationship with Harry. The ugly side of James Sirius Potter? Would he even realize that side himself if he saw it? He'd spent so much time building the Golden Boy to distract the world from the mess that was their Saviour. "First steps, huh? Well, I guess I am the Gryffindor," he said, echoing Harry's words from that first night. Suck it up and move forward might have to apply to learning to deal with the emotions connected to his dad, too.
Deciding they'd talked about his issues with his dad long enough, he flashed her a mischievous grin.
"Right. Enough maudlin thoughts for now." Dipping down and using a quiet charm to steady her before she could get her own balance, he picked Savannah up to swing her up onto his shoulders. "We have a win to celebrate and brag about, I hear."
