Re: Savannah/Jamie
"Yes, but that doesn't feel as strange. I don't know why," she said with a shrug. "Maybe because he was dead long before you were born, while your father- he's your father." She smiled. "Thank you, I appreciate it."
She probably was too nice, because her first instinct was to hug him tight, without saying anything, before pulling back and hooking their arms together once more. "Jamie, I'm going to say this in the nicest way, but you sound like him. You're coming up with a battle plan on how to deal with things, how to solve the problem, how to push all the nonsense aside and get to your goal, but you can't really 'solve' this one problem unless you let your heart take over. I mean what you say is logical, very logical, but here's where things fly out the window. No matter how old he is, no matter what he's supposed to do or not to do, he's still your father and you can't separate the two like they are different people, because so much of who your father was is part of this Harry Potter and your feelings for your father will always colour the way you see this version. Maybe instead of working so hard to separate the two, you need to figure out a way to blend them."
She shrugged. "I might have too, back when we were together. For me, it was more than the Chosen One, but your father and why couldn't I meet him as your girlfriend, but even then I could see how he affected your action. The hero lost some of the shine."
