Re: Theodore Nott & the Patil Twins
Smug. That's how Nott looked. Or maybe she thought that every Slytherin looked smug, which was very possible. Firenze was working with her, teaching her to let go of old prejudices while trusting her instincts. It was hard to separate the two when her instinct told her not to trust any Slytherin, but she tried to push that away.
"Don't go for your wand and I won't have to hex you," she said with a forced smile, while she tried to push past her dislike of Slytherins to see the man's aura, but then she got distracted by the aura all around them. Trelawney had talked about the aura of the future, seeing different timelines meet in a particular place. She had never sure that she'd seen that particular phenomenon until now especially with the question she was asked.
"We're in the future... but the past is here," she said, frowning. It was frustrating, because she knew she should understand this better than she did. "How is this possible? How can the future and the past meet with our present?" She raised her wand. "What did you do? IS this one of your experiments? The DoM should know better than to mess with time."
