The boy did have bright curious eyes that were taking in as much as he could about everything around him. There wasn't much he could comprehend of it, not yet of course, but he wanted to. The look in his eyes spoke of a desire to learn.
Enlil smiled, his sister had every right to be proud of her son. Namtar showed promise to be everything she said he would, and perhaps even more.
The offer to hold the child was unexpected, but far less awkward for him to make a decision over than when Enki pressed it upon him, since Namtar was not some niece/nephew and yet still half-sibling at the same time... thing... making everything just awkward and uncomfortable for him... still. Enlil was going to really have to find some way to reconcile that with Ki or... Ninhursag... or... whatever she was calling herself now.
This was easier. Because he sincerely doubted Anu was involved in the child's creation in a direct manner. Besides, regardless of the situation, awkward or not, he cared very much for all of his family and regardless of how extended out... Namtar was now part of that. “Yes,” he replied.
