Well. This wasn't... how she'd wanted to see Enlil again. Truth be told, she wasn't sure she'd really thought about it that much, other than she didn't want to see him yet. There were things that needed to be discussed, obviously, but she'd wanted more time to prepare first. And more time to spend with just her son. However, it seemed that idea was now moot.
This was not her favorite brother. Everybody knew that was Enki. But she'd always found Enlil's dry wit amusing. And beneath that responsible exterior, she knew there was a sly cleverness that could slip out from time to time. She was, well, for lack of a better word, fond of Enlil. Of course she loved him, he was her family, and she loved all of them. But she didn't always like them. Enlil was one of those that she would choose to be around even had they not been brother and sister.
And more than "be around," when the mood struck. As it had a bit over a year ago.
Avoiding the topic entirely, she focused on the latter part of his comments. "Boatloads may be an understatement. He sneezes, and a child sprouts up. Oh look, it's been a week, another pregnancy. I believe he may be attempting to singlehandedly populate the entirety of existence. Which, to be fair, you must give him credit for have a goal and working toward it so very enthusiastically."
Her tone was light and teasing. And hopefully distracting. She didn't want him to ask about the child in her arms again, though she knew he would. She knew he wouldn't let it go. Nor should he. She'd just wanted a bit more time before having this conversation.
