Boy? Boy? Thor blinked, confused at being addressed in such a manner. By a creature, no less. It was so shocking that it snapped the hazy anger that had a hold on his brain, and for a moment, Thor felt a bit lost and floaty. Then he came back to himself and quickly took stock of the situation.
There was a bleeding mother in labor, and another woman screaming. It looked very damning. But the growling creature that had said several things to him in a perterbed tone that he'd heard Frigg use on occasion. He hadn't understood all of what it had said, but some words he'd encountered before. It had called him fool and boy, but more importantly, he thought it had told him to make himself useful. Why would it do that if it was doing harm? That made no sense, unless he was misunderstanding what was going on.
As terrifying as this thing was, with the hippo head and lion paws and-- what was going on with it's back and tail? It had a tail! As terrifying as it was, it didn't seem to be intent on hurting the women. He couldn't figure out what it was doing yet, but he was willing to let it be for the moment.
He didn't drop his weapon, however, because whatever this creature was doing, the one that was leering through the window was obviously up to no good. It was looking at the woman, or rather her pregnant belly, like a wolf looked at a fawn. There was no doubt what was going on there.
"Down!" he said firmly, hoping that it would understand to duck. He didn't know that word in Egyptian yet. Then he let Mjolnir fly, trusting his aim, and his assessment. The thing at the window was up to no good, and he could stop that. While he waited to see what the creature inside the hut was going to do.
