He was so adorably befuddled she couldn't help but laugh. And... was he blushing suddenly? Aw, that was cute. But then Ninkasi realized what he asked. “Air? No, what are you...” She sat up straighter so she could reach for the pitcher easier. “Did I forget to fill it?”
Grabbing the pitcher with a quick upswing of her arm, she laughed out a, “whoops! Got carried away giving orders before I came running in here.” In one smooth movement, she slid off the table, pitcher in hand and walked a few steps away. “Just a moment, I will fix it...” The steps turned and pivoted her a bit behind where the Greek was sitting, one hand in the pitcher picking out some bits of sediment that she'd missed.
“What you were drinking was old anyway. You won't miss it. Promise. I mean, if you like beer. If you don't then you probably won't care either way.” She shrugged, coming up from behind him, this time pitcher full and without apology, invitation or other... poured for him into his empty up. Ninkasi set the pitcher down and moved to lean her hip against the side of the table. “This, I think, is superior... and... as you see... is not air.” At which point she grinned.
This was fun. He didn't know who she was. Djeheuty hadn't told him. Not that he'd had much time, but... still.
