Sigyn was so happy, she felt like she was nearly glowing with it. That glowing centered somewhere low in her abdomen, and radiated outward, until she felt light, and hot, and a coiled ache of tension that was waiting to burst. And all of it was because of Loki.
When his hand slid down her leg, and she felt the warmth of his palm against her skin, Sigyn closed her eyes on a soft moan. It was going to be so wonderful to get out of her shift so he could touch and kiss wherever he liked. And she wanted to return the favor, she wanted to show him how good he was making her feel. She wanted to share it all with him.
His kiss was just a reminder of that, and a promise of what was to come. So even though he moved his hand away from her leg, it was alright because he touched her cheek, and her lips were smiling as the kiss ended. Sigyn opened her eyes to look up at him, wanting to let him know that everything he was doing, everything they were doing together, was so far beyond wonderful that she had no words.
As it turned out, words wouldn't have helped. Because his certainly didn't. It took a long moment, when her heart felt like it had just stopped, for her to understand what he was saying. He was saying stop.
More than that, he had stopped.
What was going on? Why... why was he doing this? Was he playing some kind of game? Was this another one of those things that she didn't understand the rules? No, Loki wouldn't do that to her. Not to her. Had she done something wrong? She knew she was inexperienced, but she was fairly certain that she hadn't messed things up so badly that he'd stop.
But that was it, wasn't it? She was inexperienced. Too inexperienced. And why would he want to be with somebody that must seem like little more than a girl when he could have women that--
"Get off me." Without waiting for him to comply, Sigyn pushed at his chest with one hand while using her feet to push her backwards as she scrambled out from under him Her face felt hot, and she knew that she must be bright red. Once again, she'd just utterly humiliated herself in front of him.
She couldn't stay there. She just couldn't. So she swiftly stood and walked, without even taking note of the direction. Within five steps, though, Sigyn was running and she didn't even care if he saw. If Loki said anything, she didn't hear it over the rush of blood pounding in her ears. She had to get away.
Her body was still feeling heated from what had almost happened. And her face was hot from the flush. There was a suspicious stinging heat in her eyes that suggested tears might show up soon. Everything needed to be cooled down, so she ran in the direction of the spring pool, because Sigyn just didn't know where else to go. But she couldn't face Loki. Not now. Maybe not ever again.
