Don't ask for details? Was he kidding? Loki couldn't drop a bomb like that and expect Thor not to want to know more. But there was no way he could ask his sister, because as his friend kept pointing out, she pretty much hated Loki. Maybe his dad would know though. Since Loki wasn't going to elaborate, obviously.
But that line of thinking got him thinking on the problem Loki was presenting now. And it gave him the solution. Sometimes smart people were too smart for their own good, he decided, because they thought so hard on a problem they didn't see the answer was right in front of them.
"So don't let Frigg get involved," he told Loki. "There are ways around 'er. Lot's of 'em." Thor started ticking them off on his fingers as he spoke. "Go to Dad instead, 'e knows how to get 'er to do what 'e wants. Get support from some other marriage goddess, like 'un from another pantheon. You go pretty far afield, what about somebody in Egypt? Frigg would hate to be embarrassed in front a' 'un of 'em. If all else fails, knock Sigyn up. Not like Frigg's not going to let you marry 'er then."
Thor shook his head. "You're smarter than everybody else. You could think of a bunch more ways to make it work. You really want this girl. So stop being an ass and get her. Or don't you wanna be happy?"
